About A Solution Group

"Our commitment to community development drives everything we do. Our approach is based on the Whole Community Solution, which seeks to address the social determinants of health through partnerships and collaboration.

The Story

A Solution Group Community Development Corporation (ASGCDC) was founded in 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The organization's founder, a local community member, saw firsthand the struggles that many individuals and families in underserved communities faced in accessing affordable housing and the impact it had on their overall health and well-being.

He recognized that there was a need for a different approach to community development, one that focused on the whole person and the community as a whole, rather than just on housing.

With this in mind, ASGCDC was created with a mission to provide A Whole Community Solution to address the social determinants of health and improve the quality of life for all members of the community.

The Problem

Many individuals and families in underserved communities face multiple social determinants of health, including:

  • Lack of access to affordable housing
  • Limited job opportunities
  • Inadequate access to healthcare
  • Limited access to education and cultural activities.

These factors have a significant impact on the overall health and well-being of the community, and can contribute to a cycle of poverty and disadvantage that is difficult to break.

The Solution

Our mission is to create lasting, positive change in these communities by addressing issues such as community development, affordable housing, poverty, unemployment, and limited access to education and healthcare.

ASGCDC is committed to providing A Whole Community Solution that addresses the social determinants of health and improves the quality of life for all members of the community.

By focusing on community development, economic development, mental and emotional balance, advance educational centers, cultural heritage and activities, and health and nutritional balance, ASGCDC provides a comprehensive approach that empowers individuals to make meaningful change in their lives and the lives of those around them.

With a strong sense of inclusion and partnership between the community, local profits, the private sector, and government entities, ASGCDC is creating sustainable and self-sufficient communities that combat poverty and improve health and well-being.

Empowering Underserved Communities with the Whole Community Solution Approach

The Whole Community Solution approach recognizes the importance of social connectedness and access to a broader array of social capital supports in improving the lives of people with complex needs. By bringing together non-profits and volunteers who specialize in one of the five pillars of the WCS approach, the goal is to create a collaborative and cohesive solution that maximizes supportive services and transforms lives. The approach emphasizes the importance of building and leveraging relational and social capital in communities to promote economic empowerment, mental wellness, educational opportunities, cultural heritage, and overall well-being.

Affordable Housing & Economic Development:

is a critical component of the Whole Community Solutions (WCS) approach. This pillar aims to create job opportunities, support small businesses, and provide access to supportive services through affordable housing and community development. The ultimate goal is to reduce poverty, increase financial stability, and promote economic empowerment among individuals and families.

Mental Emotional Balance:

Another important pillar of the WCS approach is mental and emotional balance. This involves creating access to mental health services, counseling, and support groups to promote mental wellness and emotional stability. By addressing mental health issues, the WCS approach aims to reduce stress and anxiety, improve social relationships, and promote overall well-being.

Advance Educational Centers:

Another important pillar of the The WCS approach is Educational advancement. This involves providing access to quality education and training programs that equip individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their chosen fields. By improving educational opportunities, the WCS approach aims to increase employment opportunities, reduce poverty, and promote economic empowerment.

Cultural Heritage & Activities:

The WCS approach recognizes the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting cultural activities. This involves creating opportunities for individuals to connect with their cultural roots, celebrate their traditions, and engage in cultural activities that promote a sense of community and belonging. By promoting cultural heritage and activities, the WCS approach aims to improve social cohesion, reduce isolation, and promote overall well-being.

Health and Nutritional Balance:

Finally, the WCS approach prioritizes health and nutritional balance. This involves promoting access to healthy food options, creating opportunities for physical activity, and providing access to quality healthcare services. By promoting health and nutritional balance, the WCS approach aims to reduce the prevalence of chronic diseases, improve physical health, and promote overall well-being.
